I recently loaded the app on my wife's Ipad. It seems like some of the lake maps are incomplete, especially the Lake Fork map. It is missing whole sections of the lake. My question is, is there a way to update the maps or do they do so automatically?

The best I can tell the incomplete part is mainly areas that weren't cleared of any timber before the lake flooded. I don't know if they didn't chart it well originally due to the timber or what. It shows up the same way on the navionics chip we use in the boat. I have updated my ipad and iphone many times and it dosen't come up. Somebody here probably knows a definite answer.

I don't know how any of this works, but I find it hard to believe the elevation data is based on when the lake was impounded over 30 years ago. I thought they would run a sonar over the entire lake every few years?

I have the app for the iPad as well and I have noticed the same thing with both the apps and the Navionics chips on Lake Fork. There are a bunch of blank areas. Very frustarating. Fork seems much worse than most lakes for some reason. I have spent 6 months trying to figure it out and just gave up.

Although I have noticed lots of areas have changed quite a bit from the maps when you actually run over them. It's just the only reason I can come up with why there would be blank areas. I may be completely wrong in my thinking.

posting to add this to my list. I'll check my ipad tomorrow and see if I have the same issue and try to fix it if I do. I'll respond with anything I find. I'd do it tonight but my head hurts and my wife is giving me the eye.

What I don't understand is that the map on my Navionics chips for my GPS units are complete but the Ipad map is not. I am hoping someone from Navionics will reply.
I love the app, most of the lakes are complete.
Thanks in advance
Mike

there was an update on the 21st I installed it and it didn't change anything as far as the map data. I've emailed navionics and will report back whatever they respond with, if they do.

how does lewisville and ray roberts show up on the ipad with the ipad hd app? I have the app for my iphone, but not the hd app fpr my ipad.
I also got a water proof sleve for my ipad, it keeps it dry and with attached float, the ipad won't sink.

iPad and iPhone map content updates are coming. I'm trying to lock down a time frame. I think its part of a future functionality update, but I want to make sure.
