Tommy has a nice place up there let us no if we can help you with like I posted we are the Largest BassCat dealer in the U.S. And what pitch prop were you turning and at what r.p.m. A 200 efi would need to be turning a 25 pitch to 6500 rpms to get that fast the rev limiter is 6000 only

I have heard alot of good things about bass cat as far as quality and customer service. I just can't get used to their looks as compared to a Skeeter or Ranger. (no dis-respect intended) I will admit the only ones Iv'e really seen up close were at the boat show.
If the phone doesn't ring, it's me. I'm still fishin!

All I can say is I had two skeeters before I bought my first Ranger and that was 19 years ago. There are lots of good boats out there and it all boils down to brand loyalty. I've never caught a fish at 30mph, much less 80, so speed doesn't mean that much to me. I want a reasonably quick boat that cuts down on my running time, but I can't think of too many places on Rayburn that I fish at that I have to worry about someone beating me to the hole. If they do, I'll just go down the other bank. Just think about this...Ranger is the standard by which all other bass boats are compared!!

Well I myself dont really care if the boat runs a 100, just as long as I get to the hole, and back to the ramp. As far as bass cat goes still no pics of one on here, and as far as broken transoms go, you can have a lifetime hull warranty all you want, which skeeter, ranger, and triton all offer. If you tear the transom off the boat on a rock or stump, thats not warrenty work, thats insurance. Think I will just buy a triton tr21x with a 250pro xs, way slicker looking boat than the skeeter, comparible ride, and will run mid 70's.

i thought he asked about an I class? if you haven't been in one, do you actually have anything to contribute?
to answer the original question, i haven't been on the water in one, but have been over one pretty well @ fun n sun. it is a clean, sleek, well designed boat. alot of newer technology, nothing i could find that you would add that another boat comes with. it is a modern rig, priced accordingly. they will be on my test drive list when it is time to replace what i have.

Don't count out the zx. If I was to get a new boat it would be another zx 250. It doesn't have as much fancy ****, but its still a great design and a little bit less money.

I have been out in the skeeter I-class that belongs to JP and I can tell you that was quite a ride I can't imagine a boat being much more "sexy" (sorry no other way to discribe it) then that...I know that we were tear'n ace across grapevine on a very windy day and it just seem to "float" accross the top of the water...

central texas marine is the largest basscat dealer in the u.s. back to the question no have not been in an i class but have looked a couple over, looks well built and have heard good things about them. I would consider a legend bass boat.best built boat out there. will be my next boat.

I guide and fish tournaments for a living and could run any boat on the market. I even fish FLW with the ranger incentive money and run a SKEETER 20i because they don't give enough incentive money to go through the torture of the wet rough ride everyday. It might have all the bells and whistles as a fishing platform but they all do. I look for the full package: ride, dryness, speed, and platform. SKEETER has them all.
