Like I said I am not sure how the jig companies make money when you factor time spent on them. Besides I would fish away any profits I make.... clap

Nice looking stuff Mark. I don't make or paint my own jig heads but I enjoy making jig skirts for the jigs that I do have.

I really liked the crank baits you did. I may have to invest in an airbrush soon and play with some myself if you keep posting pics of your custom cranks. What type paint do you use and where do you get it?

I use the same paint on my jigs as I do my crankbaits. same clear coat too. I use Createx, Anitas, and Folkart paints you can get at Hobby Lobby. The chepaer the paint the more you will have to add water to cut it with to spray through the airbrush. all paints I use are acrylic water based so easy clean up or if you goof up just wipe off and start again. The clear coat I use is a 2 paty epoxy you get at Ace Hardware called Devcon 2 Ton epoxy. This is the only Devcon that is waterproof and will not yellow over time. You will need to buy or build a lure turner so that the epoxy levels out before setting up. Its very easy actually. Hobby Lobby usually has sales on airbrushes and paints on a regular basis. also www.tackleunderground.com is a wealth of info on bait building.

Those all look so good as well as Your Crankbaits. I have a couple of Friends in My Bass Club that have been doing some painting and building baits and it's so funny when I look into one of Their tackle boxes or bags I feel like a Kid in a candy store. lol. Good looking Jigs Mark.

That migraine is dehydration. its probably viral and should be shaken in couple days at most, but good choice getting checked up by the MD. Get better soon, I could swap ya some IV fluids for some of them there jigs (I am a ER RN) cheers Nice work Mark. You got me wanting to paint, but grad school wont allow it right now.
