You bought a BCX... you bought a POS and got what you paid for.

Get a sweedish made abu and get your a good reel. I have also had good luck with pen 9's.

ABU.ABU.ABU Swedish ONLY. I have been using the ABU 7000 if you want to cast a country mile. 8-10 Heavy rod small diameter line and a 5oz sinker. You will get tired of reeling them in.

Just add $19 to the original 50 and you're in business. I have 4 of these reels all on Pro Angler rods and they're spot on.

The 65's and 80's i have are 5 years old an dont have the bait runner. The Avenger or ABF now, is the newer design for that model.Still good reels.
Salt Stikers are made by Okuma.
