Well we did not catch many, just a few small ones right around a pound or so each day in the cove at our site. All on chrome rattle traps. Schools of bait fish all around us in the evening though. The creek at the end of the lake is about 20 to 30 feet wide and about 5 feet deep. We went back in about a mile or so and it kept going I dont know how far but it got us out of the sun. All along the bank back there were the bamboo poles sticking out into the creek dont know what that was for? If I did not know better I would say it was for gator traps, they did not look like anything for fishing, and there were lots of them. No pics wife forgot the camera.

This time of year Lake Mineral Wells really shines for catfish and crappie.
The catfish are caught on the flats near deep water, with mostly live sunfish for bait.
The Crappie are deep on the rocks and brush, and are caught on minnows.
Those little dink bass are fun. I think the reason more big bass are not caught is there is just too much structure. It is hard to find them.
