Anyone recommend a good boat ramp to launch from at Tawokoni? Thinking about next weekend heading there in search of Sandies & hybrids.
Is the public boat ramps safe? Only reason why I ask that is I was told by a marina not to trust the public boat ramps. Any comments appreciated and have a Blessed Day

launches at state park and holiday seem to be the most popular...
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Bangngearz, I went there for the first time saturday. I launched at Holiday but will not again. Drove to the state park to check it out and I will launch there going forward.

I personally like the state park. However, if you want to be on the water at sunrise, then the state park is not an option. The gates open at 7am "ish". Usually a bit before. But Holiday and the state park are the closest to all of the action.

Holiday is good but single lane. Bathrooms were fine a couple of weeks ago. Is there still a SRA ramp by the dam? I have used the one on the west side of 2 mile but it is a haul to the fish right now.

Stump Jumper-- the SRA ramp down from Holiday is closed.
PHF-- if you want to launch early from the state park, get a season pass, stop by the office and register to get the gate code. They change it every month or so.

Call Moe's but if he can't get you any soon I know Cabela's has them..I was just there yesterday...
If you do launch out of Holiday throw your cast net to the last slip on the left I pulled a full bucket of shad in 1-2 good throws
If there is water...I will find the fish in it
