How deep is the water on the bayside of the pass. My girlfriend has been hounding me to take her fishing and I'd like to but I'm concerned because she has never waded before.

About 4 feet at the highest tide, She shouldn't have any trouble there. That the reason my wife would rather go there, She really likes to wade fish and it fairly safe if you stay out of the main channel itself. We use to wade some over in front of seawolf park, but the last time we were there someone broke out our truck windows while we fished.I'm sure there are better places around the area but the pass is just real convienent for us to be right at the camp site. (That just my pennies worth)

Stop in at Northside Bait and Tackle right there at the pass. Chris and Mark own the place. They will point you in the right direction.

Is the area clear enough for gigging?
