Congrats to Josh and to you, Tom. Job well done by both of you.

Thats about right, you go catfishing and catch a giant bass and I fish a tourney on Roberts today and catch a 20 pound flat head on a DD22, go figure ! Great job on taking a Soldier fishing, I did it a couple of times on Lewisville, great cause and had a great time.

I figured you bass guys would get a kick out of a ten year old catching a nice fish such as this on shrimp of all things. I guess I was wrong!!! I did get a kick out of it. I just honestly didn't know what the distinction between a normal lake record and a catch and release record was. I guess I still don't? You release the fish in front of a TPWD employee and it counts as a catch and release record instead of the normal lake record? Anyway, honestly I didn't mean anything by it. I was just sharing a story of mine as well of a fish about the same size on the same lake that I still remember 12 years later. I'm sure it won't be something Josh forgets anytime soon!
