Did you get anywhere near big pocket, I was there over spring break. Caught nothing but short reds there

Went down over Sat-Mon. Everything caught was in deeper water. Used pelicans as a guide. All you could want sheepies with some reds. Couldn't find the specs. Are they out it the surf?

I could have taken the kenner out into the surf but I didn't want to make my wife seasick so I can't report on that.

Saturday looked like a James Bond movie, boats everywhere and I suppose the fist went some where else for cover. I assume deeper.

The trout are there. Go south, we've been on them for about 3 weeks.

Are you talking about south pass, conti lake that kind of thing?

I'm not as familiar with that area but looks like I need to be.

wow, it would be interesting to know wherebouts he's been going. I'm not asking for his exact honey hole but just generally speaking, deep, shallow, flats, matagorda lakes, gulf surf, South Pass? I couldn't find them around the jetty, J hook, hump, fish pond, billday's, all that area close to pass Cavallo.

well I did try grass island, farwell island(that's probably the one that you are thinking about) and Bill day's. In fairness it was on a Saturday and it looked like a James Bond movie out there so the fish may well be hiding. Other thing I DID NOT get out and wade. Like everything else if its easy its not good enough.

tks
