lights and live bait have worked well for me! I'll most definitely second that. Sometimes they'll even come up into shallow water (10-15 ft.) especially in the middle of the summer, like now. Guess the only time they'll go shallow when water temps are high is during the middle of the night. The best part about night fishing this time of year are the air temps in the 70's.
