Do you have to pay to put in at East Hill Park if you have the TPWD state pass? How much is it if so? Where's the best place, free, to put in to fish the 121 cut. Is that area fished pretty heavy via pb? Plan on getting out there 30 min after sunrise, any tips?

Can you put in off of Sparks/N. Colony Rd for free?

$7 daily fee to use East Hill Park, not sure if that's just to enter or to use the ramp, the sign out front didn't really say and I was trying to get in the water and pulled a "U-EY" before I got to the entry shack.

Not sure about the best place, but the worst place has to be the bridge on main just north of n. colony, which was my choice. That's a long paddle, 2-3 hrs one way depending on if you fish along the way here and there.

All fish came on trolling, couple sandies, dink bass, and a cat that hit top water in about 20'.

Cat must've been starving to come up and hit that.

Stenciled 10" and 18" on the side of my yak. While I was taking this pic, the 1st of 3 I guess you call bait balls I saw today, shad or what ever kind of bait fish was driven to the top and exploded about 30' from me, rather then jack with this guy I pitched him back to cast at the frenzy, should've kept the cat for as fast as it appeared is was gone even quicker. I hear they're good eating at this size, should've kept him.

This is parked at the 121 cut.

Caught this one trolling back, took the pic for the laugh.

Anywho, that was a long paddle that I won't make again in 100 degree weather.

LOL, wash rags, I grew up sunburned, flip flops and cut offs. Never cared much about getting red, but the 1st two times I got the yak wet, the top side of my foot got quite tender. I was using tackle boxes as umbrellas then, so this time I was prepared...
