It's a known fact that crappie do not feed on minnows after 9 PM in the summer time during the week unless it's a holiday. That's their dieting time.

I do all my night fishing on the creeks during the winter... Im sure night fishing is night fishing. When I go I just bring a coleman lantern and either put it on high or low, depending on how I feel, and a head lamp. When I fish crappie, I always use minnows during the night and jigs during the day... just a "rule of thumb" for me. What kind of light you talking about?

Ladies I've seen going for crappers have done live (and dead ftm) minnows and plain ol' coleman lanterns with a 'shield' around the glass to direct the light to where they're aiming. Oh, and they were all fishing with cane poles. All hauled in a decent catch so seems to work well at least off the dock, Joe Pool, Loyd Park.

Hope y'all have a blast and a feast next day!
