I am moving to the Clear Lake Area next week and was wondering about the wade fishing in that area. I am moving from Southeast Florida and need advice as to where to fish and any honts or tips for reds, tarpon, trout,flounder...ect. Are there any snook in this area of Texas. I am from Texas but have been living in Florida for the past 14 years, and need some input on the fishing in this area. Thanks

stay out of clear lake. it is very dirty. if you want to wade fish try the kemah flats and around seabrook for trout, reds and flounder.

the lake itself is too deep with no firm bottom for wading. the flats (kemah, seabrook) are just outside the channel bayside. tex. city dike area,Dollar point, levee, mosquito isl. are all spots to wade close to clear lake itself. fall, up into winter the lake can see some bird activity, a boat is needed. the same time drifting the channel itself can be a good payoff.
