 Galveston Jetties , When's the best time to fish?

When is the best time to go for flounder or specks and reds off the Galveston Jetties. I have heard that the fall is pretty good but would like some advice from some experienced salts.

generally late sept-mid november is a very good time to fish the jettys. i fish them until october, but then i switch to deer and quail, but my buddies still fish from then on and have good success
