I have access to a lighted pier on the Cayo del Grullo arm of Baffin Bay and have done OK (a lot of small speckled trout and some black drum) fishing at night under it's light. I am wanting to expand my horizons and try some daytime wade fishing in that area of the bay. I have been fishing all my life but I've never wade fished in saltwater and therefore I know nothing about it, except to wear protective boots and shuffle my feet while walking. Any help on, tips, techniques, tackled, equipment, or anything else would really be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

I would hire a guide, especially in an area that you do not have and knowledge of. Interview each guide and let them know you are a rookie.

Throw topwaters at first light. It's getting to be that time of year! Super Spooks, Spook Jrs., Skitterwalks and She Dogs. Color really doesn't matter.
