Moved out here to Looooosiana and this cool bait shop has all kinds of stuff.....stuff to make your own lures.....a variety of live bait....including.....

GOLD SHINERS? What? So I had a look at 'em.....they were baby carp/koi lookin' boogers! Some had koi coloration, but were more of a common carp shape.

Wish my in-laws' pond were larger...cuz they'd get a sprinklin' of gold shiners.

Koi and Common carp are the same species,, so the shape would be the same. Sounds like a cool tackle shop!

PB Common Carp....... 38 lbs
PB Mirror Carp........12 lbs 8 oz
PB SM Buffalo........ 53 lbs
PB Grasser........... 48 lbs 4 oz
PB Blue cat.......... 17 lbs (caught on maize)

Just to be clear, are you sure they are baby carp and not golden shiners? http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/wild/species/goldenshiner/

Can you post some pictures of the fish you are talking about from the baitshop?
