Bass and BBQ Competition_$5,000 and $1,000 1st place prize:

On July 23rd Early Times Kentucky Whiskey will sponsor American Bass Anglers� �Man Day� Steak Cook-Off with a $1,000.00 prize for the 1st place winner. Admission to the �Man Day� festivities will begin at 9 am and is free. The public is invited to enjoy the festivities of the day and meet the cook teams and bass anglers. Vendors of all types will be showing their products -- from outdoor furniture to arts and crafts -- and of course there will be food vendors. There will also be local bands and a children�s area. And Early Times Kentucky Whisky will have their �Man Dan� tent offering games/competition of all types.

If steak�s not your cup of tea, festival goers are in for a real treat as they get to sample goodies from the �Sweet Treats Cookie Tour�! Whether you fancy yourself as a baker or a pastry chef, this contest is for you. Participants are invited to prepare their favorite cookie recipe and enter the competition. The People�s Choice winner will receive $500 and the title of �East Texas Cookie Champion�. Festival goers may purchase a $3 ticket to sample up to 6 different varieties of cookies

Also being held will be the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Weekend Series pro/am event. American Bass Anglers is guaranteeing $5,000.00 to the boater that wins 1st place in this event.

Should be a great tournout for the tourney with the guaranteed money. If anyone is on the fence about fishing it I highly recommend that they do. The weekend series is a great tournament trail and porter and denise know how to put on a tournament!
