I have caught a beer can with a jigging spoon and the spoon was inside the mouth opening. Must have dropped the spoon right in ! Now I had a customer catch a Tonka truck in 28 ft of water on a Carolina rig one time. That was awesome !

first day of our camping trip with my wife and our two small children, my wife pulls in at least a 15 - 20 lbs. snapping turtle. It almost broke my net.

In 1993 I snagged and brought in a Colt 1911 with the slide locked back in Lake St. Clair. The gun came back clean and my Father now owns it.

In 1998, I was fishing with a good friend and he hooked a body in the Detroit River. It turned out to be a Canadian fellow who had enough of life and jumped from the Ambassador bridge.

In 2006, I hooked and brought in a Benelli shotgun, obviously lost by a duck hunter. I turned it in and it was claimed by a Gentleman from a nearby city. He left a $100.00 bill as a reward with the Police for me.

And finally, In 2009, I hooked a car tire on a steel rim that was literally rolling along the bottom of the St. Clair River and men, I truly thought I had the biggest sturgeon ever caught.

It rolled/tumbled into shallow water and we saw it to be a damned wheel.

Holy damnit, that's a fat girl. ~My Dad, 2009.

Thought you all would get a kick out of this. Got these pics back in 2006. These guys (not me) were trolling with downriggers on Fort Peck in Montana and look what they caught. My question is, if they get stopped by a game warden, are they OK with just a fishing license?
