Has anyone fished either of these lakes? I'm currently in lubbock and I have a friend in Plano and we are looking to find lakes somewhere in the middle where we can have some good fishing from kayaks. Any info would be nice.

Thanks guys

My family has a cabin at Lake Kemp but I haven't been there in years, hopefully someone has some info as I am interested as well.

Arrowhead is a hidden gem you don't hear much about..If you put in at the state park there are plenty of spots close by for the yak..

There is a small city lake in Iowa Park right next to Hwy 287. I am not sure if they allow kayaks on the water but have not seen any signs banning them. Just North of there is Lake Buffalo that many people tell me is great for crappie and cats.

Closer to Plano is Lake Bowie and Amon Carter. Lake Bowie is small and surrounded by houses. Perfect size for a kayak. Southside of Amon Carter is scattered with trees and vegetation.

Good luck!

Fishing can make any day awesome; just try to get mad after landing a double digit bass!
