ima head out to gibbons to try for some carp ere long. we need to have an all aggie fishing trip down to the surf this summer. Maybe ill have my R/C rig functional by then and well be able to get on some big sharks. **** maybe we can hook up a cheap day charter(blinn is close enough ). Just have to watch the BQ's though, dont want people thinking were funny or anything BTW saltwater, you in b-batt right. If so, are you "involved" with studnet bonfire(unofficialy off the record of course ). If so i have a question for you...

And there ain't nothin wrong with bein' a BQ! lol

HEy Dmiller, since nobody answered your question I will try and give you some advice. I lived in Alvin for a year when I played baseball for their college and did quite a bit of fishing around the area. I did not have a boat at the time so I only know a few wade fishing spots. I had some decent days around the Texas City Dikes. Also, the San Louis Pass areas. Try the jetties in Galvestown after a Noth wind as well as the backwater sloughs for flounder. There is an awesome flounder hole just north of the seawall. Look for an old abandened building on stilts that sits on the edge of the water just right of the rode. Used to be an old fish hatchery from what I hear. It connects with the gulf. One time I caught a huge bluefish in there. Was a whole school in there along with some big trout. Spring is the best for this spot.
