Not wanting to always having to use my father-in-laws waders, I need some recomendstions about a good brand of waders. I prefer the ones that do require using wading boots.

Thanks

Hodgeman is pretty popular, moderately priced, and academy carries them. i prefer the breathable waders as opposed to the neoprene. The breathable are less confineing, and cooler in the summer. Winter, you can simply add layers of clothes. Both you can get without boots.

I have the Hodgeman breathables as well. They work and are less than $100. I bought some bayou bog boots at Gander Mtn. to go along with them and have liked those as well. The boots were around $40.

I don't think these are the exact ones but mine are very close to this.

Yep, Hodgman is a good way to go. I have both, the neoprene and the breathable so I'm covered summer or winter. My breathables require wading boots but the neoprene do not. And I have gotten good service from both pair.
How tall are you? Seems I bought a new pair of breathables that are too long for me. Might be interested in letting them go.

if your on a budget ..i bought a pair of Stone Creek neoprene waders from Academy for 44$ and they have worked fine this winter in copano bay.
Hodgeman are very very good, just couldn't justify the money for winter months only.
I wear wading boots and shorts during the summer.
good luck
