I just wired up the Motorguide Brute 756, i got on here. Well, 12 volt doesnt work, but thats not my concern. Can anyone help with where to put the circuit breaker? I've included a picture of my setup. Thanks to all.

Ps. If anyone can tell me how to get 12 volt working, by seeing what I have wired wrong, that would be cool, but not necessary.

I can't see how you're getting 24 from this connection. You will get 12V from this setup. Second, that 10ga wiring is really light to be running the trolling motor you have. Now with that being said, The connect connections would be: Disconnect both wires on the right battery, and, calling the battery on the left battery 1, reconnect the jumper that is on positive of battery 1 to the negative of battery 2. Now connect the wire going to the trolling motor that was on negative of battery 2 to the positive of battery 2. The 12V feed will be the positive going to the trolling motor from battery 1 and the 24V will be supplied by the positive wire on battery 2. I would use inline breakers that connect to the positive battery studs and connect the wires to the breakers. If you keep the 10ga wire, don't go over a 30A breaker.

I too see the same problem, on the other hand the connection to the trolling motor is made up correctly as well positive battery 1 to the twelve volt side and positive battery 2 twenty four side since the wires are not marked a meter would be the best thing to use to verify. This is a pic of mine, note the breakers are on the left.

I didnt think it was 24, my co worker does, it seems to be turning very slow for 24v. when i switch it to 12 it does nothing. I think another problem I have it the connector the boat was wired with has 4 wires. 2 black, 2 reds, then someone did some sort of hack job and was only using 2 wires for the motor.

I tried it with a meter, and got like 15 on one, 12 on another, so my co worker ( also my fishin buddy, who also works for me ) says..." see if you add those two up thats more than 24 its 27. so it Better"

Ok, so does the fact that i have a connector with 4 wires, but my trolling motor has 3, change anything?

It might help if you do a search on 24 v trolling motor diagram. There are several results form iboat and bbc. I am not sure how your 4 wire connector is wired, but the diagrams show how it SHOULD be wired.

of course i did a search...and i used a diagram, from a site...but it was no good. only gave me 12 volts, so i found another one that wasnt a diagram, just words, and it made it work while switched to 24v but not on 12v....so i got sick of it, and decided to ask REAL people, and not check old diagrams, and expired forum posts....

Also trash the wingnuts when you get rid of that too small 10ga wiring some of which already show oxidized and corroded connectors and one red wire appears to have no termination and may be just a bare wire connection stuck under the wingnut.

(Wingnuts= BAD, Stainless Steel nuts =GOOD!) Use a wrench, not just your fingers to tighten. Then spray all connections with a can of battery protect sealant.

OK GUYS, I'm back and Have pics, to help....my boat has a 3 wire plug on the trolling motor connector, and 4 wires coming out the connector. I have two batteries in back, and 4 wires in back, is it possible to make this run my 756 brute, or do I need to rewire? I Bought the like this, and they had something rigged up I would imagine, but its wasn't installed when i got it, it only had one battery in it. Is it possible to make 4 wires into 3?

First Pic is the connector at the front of the boat, that runs to the back

Second is the trolling motor plug.

Last picture, is the 4 wires that are right at the batteries.
2 black and 2 Red

In your first post/pic, I can see that the connections at your batteries will provide 12 volts from the red and black wires from the left battery, and 24 from the black wire from the left battery and red wire from the right battery. One of the wires at the 4-wire connector (picture 1 of your 3 pic post) is extraneous. It is probably the black wire that is cut in picture 3 of your 3 pic post. In other words, since only 3 wires (12v red, 24v red and black neg) are required, and they used a 4 wire connector, one of the black wires is not even connected to the batteries. I'm betting you are wired correctly up to the trolling motor plug. I would take the plug out of the panel and see how the 3 wires are connected.
