Actually, my house is that the best place to eat Seafood in Rockport.
Trader Vicks in Hawaii and Scoma's on The Wharf in San Fransico are the only two restaraunts I know that come close.
Do a TFF search on "Trout Scout Gumbo".

There's a dive bar called Pop's place I believe, out across the Copano bridge on the road to Goose Island that has real good food.
Also, my favorite bacon cheeseburger in town is at Poor Man's Country Club that faces the ski basin.
I agree about the Mexican place on Market, Rositas I believe, having good breakfast tacos, but last time we went by they were closed.
The butter churn in Aransas Pass, and I believe also in Sinton, are both excellent choices as someone mentioned above.
There's a Kbob's in Rockport now? I haven't been down there in a few years. Where is it at? I love Kbobs! Closest one I used to know of to the coast was in Beeville.

I was sad to see Croakers close over near Palm Harbor. They had some good food! I always had good stuff at Kleins and Duck Inn back in the day.

The same cooks that worked at Croakers work at the new place, burgers are still killer.

I like both of the pepitos. They aren't the BEST EVER, but they're more than acceptable.

If you're not looking for fancy but want a good seafood place, you should try Corey's Seafood market across from HEB in Aransas Pass. Ate there last week. I had the all you can eat Flouder and my wife had the all you can eat Shrimp.
The food was REALLY GOOD and FRESH. The waitress kept bringing more until we had to tell her to stop. Great Food and Great service for a Great price.
I'll be eating there every trip down from now on.

Fishin' sure has been good this year and good luck on the Aransas Bay side, getting quite a bit of boat traffic right now.
Copano Bay will hold some of the best trout action from Aransas Pass to Port O'Conner for the next few months.
K-Bob's has been quite the buzz lately for it's quality of food it has been serving so it looks like I might have to give it a try sooner or later.

That is one of the place's we're talking about. (although I'm not ready to crown that burger.) If they have any on special, their Tuna steak is AMAZING, best seafood I've had, (in a restaurant) in the area.

Mickey's Bar & Grill @ Hampton's Landing in Aransas PassI have to give this place the official
At the recommendation of Guide Capt. Randy Hoyt, we ate there about a month or so ago with David Sikes, CCC Times Outdoor Writer, Charles Sablatura, the new owner of Rockport Rattler and my son bringing his 6' 1" 215 lb. appettite to the table and the food served was such generous perportations we could hardly finish what was served.
Good food and plenty of it.

As mentioned previously...the Butter Churn in Sinton is an excellent place to eat and the food is always fresh and tasty. It's worth the 30-minute drive.
