On Sunday I took the wife and grandsons for a boating day, to train my future deck hands. Tuesday they will be taking me to Blue Bell for a tour and a taste.

On Monday I had Benny Knight and wife Karen from Austin for a morning of crappie fishing. Well, no one told the crappie...We fished until 10am and landed one under sized crappie. I moved to some brush in 10-12 foot water where I have been catching some catfish with use of chum. Dropped a minnow over the side, and bam, Karen had a 5# blue cat, her best of the day. Benny had to do better so he put a 7#er on board. Ended up fishing for cats for two hours and landed 25fish for the cleaning table. The big fish jumped out of Benny's hand just as I snapped the picture.

I also took a picture of a funny thing, a boat with three people tied up under a sign that reads "Restricted Area, No Fishing, City of Brenham"...I thought that was funny.

All cats caught on minnows and CJ's Shad punch bait, using tight lines in 10-12 foot water.

Great seeing the young ones on the water! Looks like you were able to put some Anglers on some fish. Good job as always!

As always, you keeping them coming up right! Nice catch on the sticker fish and some dandies at that!

You should have asked the bozo's anchored by the sign if they could read.
