Looks like a well done jig to me. My only suggestion might be a little shorter tail to avoid short bites.

Thank ya'll for the comments, I appreciate it... I normally cut the tail to about the length of the shank, but this particular feather has such great action I hatted to trim it any shorter. I guess if they short stick it I can trim it then, or fish it when the bite is good...

Great color combo for clearer waters and especially summertime. Instead of trimming the tail, just tie the bou a little shorter. Don't want to mess up that natural tail action. That jig will catch crappie for sure.

Just want to say you should never cut the business end off marabou and actually I almost never use the stem in my marabou tails. I will use a very thin stem at times, but only after I have pulled all the longer stuff off. I pull all the barbules that are long enough off and stack them until I have what I think is enough. Then grab all of them together and trip the end I am going to tie in. This way you get the length you want and have not cut any of the good stuff off. It will also make the tail have more action if you don't have a stem in it. I probably only leave a stem in at all maybe 2 out of 100 times. Here is one of my favorite Roadrunners I used a lot last year once the water cleared some. You will see no stem in this tail. Click the link to see the picture. http://thumpitjigs.com/images/DSC04500.JPGOh should have said the jig looks really nice and like the colors. Skip
