Where is Charlie's Bait Camp? Familiar with Galveston and a few down toward Freeport, but not much else.

Charlie's is located between Port O'Conner and Seadrift on the ICW.A guide friend of mine had emailed and said that is was a total water wash out down there and man he was right. The lowest tides i have ever seen.It was to low for us to launch and get my dad in the boat.Went back to Seadrift and saw several boats struggling to get out.Put up the boat and came home.

I am not exactly sure where it was since I was taken there. I think the guy's at Charlies will give you instructions right where it is. The obsevatory is in the wildlife sanctuary

I fish POC often, and the only bird observatory I know about is Bird Island, out by the big jetties. We went last weekend; had no trouble getting the boat in, the water was way up. We'll see how it goes this weekend. You can drift fish South Pass Lake in the winter time out of Charlie's Bait Camp. It is almost straight across the bay.
