Will running a toothpick through the hook eye help increase the life of a plastic worm?? or what can? I'm tired of catching two fish on a worm and its ripped in half already.

Toothpick wont help that a lot. I dont like the hooks as much, but the hooks with the screw wire will help get a few more hooksets out of rubber, works well with flukes, big worms such as powerbait 10" worms. Hes correct, those work well http://parasiteweights.com/

Use super glue and put back together for another bite or melt back together with cigarette lighter. Sometimes I will do this at home and re-salt worms while Im there. Tight lines

I have just spent a lot of money over the years lol once my wife pointed out my bank account and over 300 bucks being spent on plastic worms alone lol. so im going to invest some money into repairing my worms. I have the Hawg wild garlic spray and I guess I will start to melt them back with a lighter and super glue then soak them in a bag with that spray? Good idea or bad idea lol?

Check tackle warehouse. They sell mend it. It's much like superglue but for plastics. I use it on my swim baits and it works pretty well.

Don't expect more from a salt impregnated worm they won't stay together on a molecular level. 1 oz bottle of mend it is $11.00 hardly worth using on anything other than a swimbait. If your going to melt baits back together I'll give you some info about plastic as I work with it 10-12 hours a day making worms and swimbaits. To get to temp to melt if there is any moisture in the bait or have had a water based scent added you might want to invest in a pair of safety glasses, it's like pouring water in hot grease, and do it with gloves on melting temp is between 325 & 350 one drop on you will leave a mark Better not plan on doing this anywhere around your living space of the house. Any scent that is impregranted in the bait when heated will peel the paint of the wall or de-hair your dog...there are no words in the English language to describe it, the smell is usually not noticed because a person does it on the boat and only 1 bait at a time.

Fish some of the places I fish. Your plastics will be like new at the end of the day.

Based on what I've read in this thread I'm going to start making my baits a little softer like the mass producers, I make 30 for someone I don't hear from them for months, I'm shooting myself in the foot trying to give people their moneys worth.

I'm just happy getting bit my problem starts when I dont get bit I feel like it was because I didn't have the right color or right presentation lol. I am just going to start tooth picking and being more aware of my worms, so many times if they rip I just chunk them out but now I'm adding them to a bag called "surgery" and I will repair them for later use.
