Anyone know where the good action is around New Braunfels? I've fished Lake Dunlap, but looking for new areas!
Thanks in advance!

The reports I've been getting say The Guad is shut down due to low water.

You can come down to placid or starke park in Seguin if you want downriver. Or you can get in at Cypress Bend Park in town. Everything above Gruene isn't "shut down", but is really slow. You can pay at most of the outfitters along river road if you just want to launch and paddle around the stationary tubers. I drove from the dam all the way down river road yesterday to check out the river and it is definitely sloooow.

Cypress Bend is a good bet. Anything below that has water all the way to the salt. Above that you will be doing plenty of butt dragging and portaging. Placid was decent for cats and sunnies late last week.
