DId you leave the hook on the hellbender? (obviously) How do they troll when you leave a hook on? Each time we have tried it, the hooks winds all up in the leader line......

Leave the 2 hooks on the Hellbender, but cut off the spinner on the tail. Now use the eyelet on the tail to tie the Pet spoon leader to. We were also trolling, not casting so it's easier to just lay it down in the water while your moving.

What depth does it troll at? I always take the hooks off and add a 0ne ounce weight to get it to dive deeper...
