I'm going there pretty soon and I need some stream reports. Spots to fish hatch charts ect... Thanks!

the hexs are hatching right now, and as far as flies, id stop by sids fly shop to check. if you want to keep it simple, an egg pattern with a size 10-14 wooly bugger dropped below it works.

I spent 6 days there last week and caught good fish everyday and everywhere. Stop by the info center and get a map of the river. Spend some time in the upper and lower portions of spillway creek and also in lost creek and evening hole area. I caught fish everyday with an olive wooly bugger and trailing it with either red or copper colored copper John in size 16. When those two slowed I changed the trailing to a red midge size 18 or 20 and the fish would start again. Like the last post said if it is wet fish it and you will catch. They stocked last thursday with 14" trout all up and down river. So there should still be some fun fishing up there. If the cold hole is not packed with people spend some time there also. I lost a really nice trout in there last Friday evening. Also lost a good one about 100 yards down from the cold hole earlier in the week.

My favorite is spillway creek. They have done such a good job on that part of the river. Lost creek is fun to fish but it is a small diversion off the main river. But worth walking down and fishing. Walk it till it meets back up with the river and try fishing just downstream of where they meet up. I will work on getting some pics up from last week.

Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide/Entomologist Rob Woodruff has a weekly updated fishing report for the river with top flies, hatches and a 7 day forecast at: OrvisNews.com All of the habitat work on Spillway Creek was done by The ODWC and funded by The Lower Mountain Fork River Foundation.
