Above is a pic of a brush pile in a creek bed, to the right of the cursor. There are about 15-20 crappie on it, till we fished it, lol.... Mother load of sand bass schooling. Most of the fish were on the right side of the boat. Today we started at 7am and went to the power house for some sandies. They decided to play hard to get so while we waited for the boil to start, we went and boated about ten slab crappie. All were over 12 inches, max was 15.5 and we used black /chart and white/chart. White/chart produced more fish. Today they were a bit deeper than the pattern I had a few days ago. They had moved to submerged timber and brush in 14-18 ft. Most fish were caught at 15 ft. Finally saw the sandies come to the top and we went after them. The first school was little dinks, so we went to the nex boil, same thing. On the third school, we found the magnum sandies. 14-16 inchers hit the ice box. Limited in about 25-30 mins. With doubles almost every cast. After the sandies went down in our area, we went to some timber and we were catching crappie every drop for an hour. Then, the wind stopped and it was glass calm. I was happy, but the crappie shut down right when the wind did. I side scanned everything and they were there, just didn't want jigs. So we went to try another brush pile. On the way there, we ran into a huge school of sandies blowing up on the surface. Played with them for about two hours and it was time to go eat. 200+ sandies 30-40 crappie 30+ yellow bass 4 Black Bass

A school of fish. Had Mike meet me at my house house and we drove out to the lake and met Dan at the ramp. Got on the water about 7am. Hit the power plant, but they didn't want to play. I did catch two crappie on slabs! Dinks.... Mike hooked a monster of a fish. He thought he was snagged for about two mins, he was trying to break the line, and then the fish decided it was his turn to pull.... Big flattie probably. Goofed off a bit till the sandies started to boil and it was a great boil. The sandies were feeding on the surface for a half a mile in each direction, with schools popping up everywhere. Had a big boat show today and I think everyone was doing well. They popped up on the surface about 8 am and it lasted till about 10 am. I would troll school to school till we found the big boy school. Once we found the big boy school, we followed it around till we got our limit. The bigger sandies wanted topwater baits. The smaller sandies really didn't want it, so it was nice to reel in keepers on almost ever cast. We hit two crappie holes and got about ten or so in a little less than an hour. After we lost 20 jigs to the brush pile, it was getting hotter. Went in a little before noon. Found a school of black crappie in the timber to the right of the cursor. They were in the tree tops 5 ft below the surface. And there is another Two brush piles to the oft of that one that held some fish. If you look at the bottom ish, left side, the two biggest white dots, those are big fish. Probably carp or buffalo. To the left of the dot, you can see a dark spot, that's the fishes sonar shadow. Rock pile Tally: 300+ Sandbass 10-15 Crappie 3-4 Largmouth to 3 lbs. 30+ irritating yellow bass.

The post kaylub posted with the fish on the bottom of the boat were there due to we were reeling them in two at a time. No time to put them in the cooler. Those fish were all caught within 15 mins or so. Gets crazy sometimes.

Then we finished the last hour, after the topwater bite dissipated, to catch some Crappie. Used minnows and jigs. White/chart & black/chart all worked. Landed about 20-30 crappie. Black Crappie and White Crappie. Below is a nice 14 incher! Average sized keeper below. Over 350 fish hit the boat deck today. Awesome day to be on the water.
