Great fish. You're really locked in on the big ones.
Been on the phone with Philpot some this morning....think I know general area you are fishing, if they are biting like on Limestone.

Been on the phone with Philpot some this morning....think I know general area you are fishing, if they are biting like on Limestone. Aint no fish in Ivie, Its a trap boys. Smoky is getting kickbacks from the Ivie Chamber of Commerce to spur tourisim

Did I say Ivie?  I meant Buchanan......there are no fish in Ivie  , and from what I hear....they had a BIG FISH KILL,  I wouldnt even put my boat in the water there! 
I'm gonna miss her....

I think maybe Heycods and Smoky may have caught 'em all, but the fish used to be there before that.... I'll bet there aren't any left for FishHauler and me, but we may have to try anyway.

I've been catching shad that last couple of evenings, so Mrs. Philpot, the offspring(s), and myself are going to try some daylight feeders early in the morning.... Maybe they'll eat. I sure hope HeyCods and Smoky were kidding about all the fish are gone in Ivie.

Most of the fish smoky and I have been catching have come from 10pm-8am
fish to live and live to fish

Just got back and cleaned the smaller blues that we managed to get in the boat - 3lbs being the heaviest to hit the fishbox. We had 3 hook ups that we never got the fish turned and ended up wrapped up in the timber and losing the fish... We had a 4th opportunity on a big one that I jacked up by jerking the circle hook out of his mouth - old habits die hard. Hit the water about 0630am and gave up about 330pm, so we gave them an effort anyway. Great day!!
