Has anyone been out to Sylvan recently? How's the bite and what kinds/species of fish have you caught there?

I went out their with two buddies and between the three of us only one sand trout was caught. We went out at midnight and fished three hours and called it quits. Some people that were fishing before we got there caught a 21 in red fish and a gafftop. The action wasn't hot for any one on the pier. I also had a report from someone in a boat near sylvan and they didn't catch a thing either.

We fished from Midnight Friday to about 7 or 8am Saturday.
The Gafftop Bite was pretty consistant on the far end of the pier, casting off the end.

Just before sun up to about 7 or so, we caught a few short reds, short drum, bunch of croakers, a sheepshead, and a sand trout.

Shrimp and cut bait worked about the best.

This was my Son in Law's first time salt water fishing and we caught all the "stantard species" except flounder and Spots, which to me was a pretty good night.
