I fished on Friday with my daughter Carey Sumerville, her husband Corey, his mother Roshena and his sister Courtney. The weather would not cooperate at all. There was either very little or no wind. You can see by one of the pictures of the clouds, except that is a picture of the water with a cloud reflection.

After hard fishing until about 10am, they ended the day with 13 cats to take home.
Roshena and Courtney caught their first fish ever.

Fish caught in 6 foot water, tight lines and corks, using CJ's Shad punch bait.

On Saturday the boat traffic really started to pick up, but luckily so did the wind. We had aboaut 5-6mph wind which helped a lot. I had Terry and his friend Chris from Cypress, Tx out for a morning of fishing. They ended the day with their limit
of 50 catfish by 10:10am. They both work with electricity loads of 7500 to 10,000 watts, but catching that many fish electrified them.

All fish caught on tight lines, 2-4 foot water, using CJ's Shad punch bait.

On Sunday the the holiday boat traffic picked up even more. I had Eddie Moore of College Station, his girlfriend Amanda, and friends Brandon and Becky. The wind was nice early and so went the bite, and as the wind died about 11am, so did the bite. They ended the day with 92 catfish to start their planning of a fish fry.

All fish caught in 3-6 foot water, using tight lines, and CJ's Shad Punch bait.

Yeah, It was great to be put on that many fish so quickly!! Thanks again for the quick trip!

Working on 0V to 765,000 (765KV) is exciting too.

Way to go Weldon, you're one of the best guides on here in my book. I think some people on here put too much emphasis on catching big fish all the time. You consistently put your customers on fish year around and that's what counts. I say that because I fish the lakes you do and have friends that do also and you make it look too easy. 2cents

We caught two catfish the other day that were full of eggs as if they were about to spawn. What time of year do catfish spawn in Somerville? Do they change the way they bite or move during spawning season? We caught these in one of our usual places. It was only 2 of about 25 catfish that had eggs.

Thanks.

When Weldon was preparing the 50 we caught only 1 had eggs, the spawn should have been a little while ago..
