Is there a relatively easy way to get to the shore at san luis pass? I know it was possible right next to the pier, but is there any other access thats less...steep? Is the fishing on the Galveston side as good? How do you get to it? thanks for helping a lost fishermen.

Yes, you can access the shore on all sides of the pass. The access road on the WEST side of the pass is on the NORTH side of the road. The access road on the EAST side of the pass is on the SOUTH side of the road. You can use either road to access the shoreline on both sides. I like to use the road on the east side and loop around back under the bridge and fish the northeast side of the pass. You can wade out and reach some deeper water that way. Be careful though -- that place is dangerous.

Hope that made sense.
