For my July article, I write about fishing the famous Fork Flutter Spoons for big bass. Once a secret lure on Fork, they now work from coast-to-coast and from late spring through winter. If you haven't added them to your bag of tricks, here are my pointers.

http://www.lakeforkguidetrips.com/fishingarticles/july2011.htm

I hope everyone has a happy & safe 4th of July, and catches a few lunkers over the weekend too... flag

That was a very good detailed article. Thanks Tom

thanks guys. Stick with it Goody, try it in areas where you are catching deeper water jig or worm fish and it should start to work for you.

I just bought a few LFT Flutter Spoons from TW and they do fall better than other spoons. I haven't caught anything on them yet, but I'm going to give them another shot today!

Great article, full of lots of good tips.
I don't think I have fished a spoon in freshwater more than a handful of time in my life so am not familiar with them. How often do you get hung up on the bottom with the exposed treble hook? Seems like losing a bunch of lures would be part of the game?

The spoon is heavy enough that you can usually get right over it and bounce it up and down softly and it will come loose. Ive only lost 1 so far that i can recall in a very thick brushpile.
