doea anybody have any good recipes for blue crabs? and can you freeze them?

i shell them and split them, but yes freezing them works


i just boil mine in crab boil, or mom will fry them with seasoning.

Yep, a big pot full of boiling water with a bag of shrimp/crabboil is all you need. Outside is better as the house may smell of crabs for awhile after you are done. frown

Get the water boiling with the bag of spices in it from the get go. When it comes to the boil, drop the live crabs into it. When the water comes back to the boil after the crabs are dropped in, watch for them to turn red, usually in about 15 minutes in the boiling water.

Remove and let cool (if you can stand the wait) a little, then start enjoying. Keep plenty of wet towels handy. They are messy but GGOOOODD!! thumb

steam... one can of beer.. on the bottom part of steamer and just steam the crabs.. dip the meat in salt/pepper wit lime. best yet.
