Hey guys I'm new here and I'm about to own one of the field and streams eagle talon 12's and I am torn on a seat suggestion and was wondering if anyone could point me to which they prefer. I am looking to stay around this price range if you have other suggestions. here is the first seat: http://www.austinkayak.com/products/143/Comfy-Deluxe-Big-Back-Kayak-Seat.htmlhere is the other seat: http://www.austinkayak.com/products/651/Apex-1-High-Back-Seat.htmlI am looking for a seat that has a good structure and wont crumple over if i lean back in it. I do like the fact the first one has cupholders but I read that the second one can get an attachments on it so I can probably add one to it. I am leaning towards the first one for now simply by looks. Any experienced users please feel free to help me out. Thanks

Hey Kredwine, I haven't sat in either of these seats but they both look nice.
The Apex looks like it has extra padding in the grey area of the seat. That will be nice on long paddles. But the CDBBKS seat has a Adjustable/removable lumbar support for additional comfort. I think you would be good with either one as far as being comfortable in the saddle. I have to agree that having the pocket in the back of the seat and the cup holders would be nice. For me, I would go with the CDBBKS.
The link you put up is through ACK. They are great people to deal with. I would advise that you call and speak to one of the knowledgeable staff they have over there, and see what they say is going to be the best seat for you.

The comfy Deluxe almost appears to be too much.
I have the Apex 1. So far I have been pretty happy with it. The clasps are pretty cheap though so be prepared to replace them.

Dang those seats can get up in price. Although if you've spent 12 hours in a cheap seat before, it might not be as expensive as it looks.

I put a one piece plastic molded seat in the canvas seat. Really works good in the hobie outback. I use the adjustments straps on the canvas seat to adjust the plastic seat angle... Now I don't sit on the two little plastic post that are on the canvas seat. Give it a try, you will be happy with the new feel.

I got that seat when I purchased my kayak. Only paid $99 for it I like it better than the original seat that came with my Prowler. Im able to fish for 5-6 without my butt hurting

I recently purchased a GTS Expedition Molded Foam Kayak Seat - Fishing Pack $228 (shown from the post above here) and I am not happy with it. It is 2 inches thick but it might as well be a brick. I had the Apex for a couple of years and was fairly happy with it. These days I like a little more padding. Note that the Apex has plastic hardware. That would be preferable to me.
RealBigReel I don't go too fast but I go pretty far.
