Just wondering all you night fisherman on Lake Fork how soon do you start fishing at night? Before sunset? An hour after dark? Also is there a shut off time?

There aren't many constants, most times they shut down for around an hour right after the sun fully sets but on rare occasions I've caught them all the way from sunset to complete dark. It changes from night to night. It's the one time I really pay attention to the solunar tables.

We fished Thursday night on Fork. Started at 6:30 pm and fished until 1 am. We caught 30 fish. We had two over 9 lbs. Time of day was not as critical as location.

I agree Jay. I put a lot of stock in the solunar tables for the night bite. I have caught fish all night, but the aggressiveness of the fish is what I key in on when following the tables. If the baitfish and barfish are active (breakin' the surface) then usually I tend to get more bites with less casts.

You can catch them as long as you are out there. As said above, location is more important, if you have that bait in front of a bass, they can't resist it! Just fish slow, be patient and be safe! Watch out for others on the lake, I run into people almost every weekend without their lights on.

Yes I did, the pictures are on my facebook page. Just because you can not seem to catch any fish Red Ranger does not mean that everyone else does not catch any.

Fished last night from 7:15 pm until 2:00 am. If we hadn't already been driving 10 hours earlier from Kentucky Lake we would have stayed longer.
