Which place would a bank fisherman have the best odds of catching a big red the actual gulf, bay, marsh, or tributary to a bay??

in the gulf for sure if you are going for a big bull red. its easier too in my opinion.

i'm with a nac on this one...big bull reds are alot easier to get in the surf. since the hurricane just tore the water up, now is oppurtune time to do some damage to them. reds are a lot more active in choppy water with a north wind

Would be very easy to catch a big bull on the channel side of the jetty. Surf is good but channel side of jetty better! Big bulls are running thick and are very easy pickens. I am headed down Friday at 4 a.m. to slaughter the reds. Good luck on your search and it shouldnt be tough to find the big boys.

Bull reds running at port a. Fish channel side of jetty. Fished there on 18th and 19th. Caught 7 bull red 40-43" during outgoing tide. Freeline large piggy about 25yds in channel and let the perch do all the work.
