Preach it brother! I've been hittin Tawak alot lately and they just dont get it! Very selfish of them if you ask me. run in the middle and catch as many as you can and screw everyone else. There has been a brown boat full of asians thats been killin me out there. they crank the big motor and hammer it to move 40 yards!!!! AAAARRRRRGGGGG!!!!!! Along with a loud mouth on a pontoon doin the same thing! it will drive you crazy!

I haven't seen a lake yet that they don't do it on. People just don't learn.

Asins in the fish and ski boat,The guy in the pontoon and some guys in Bass Boats. Because of guys like this the fishing is not good!!!!! Fish come up they start thier boats 5 min later fish are gone.

I've always been a believer of not using any motors. I go in up wind, drift through the school, or with it if you are lucky, then crank up and go waaaaaaaay around the school to be upwind again once you are through them. In my experience a trolling motor is just as bad as a big motor in driving the fish back down.

Trolling motors are fine. The big engine noise you hear doesn't spook them either. It's the exhaust, it comes from the middle of the prop. If you are one of them that runs right into the fish, jump in and let your buddy run over you so you will understand what the fish are going through. A lot safer way to do it is to stick your hand in a shad tank, watch where the shad go????

Maybe its just been coincidence but lately the trolling motor has seemed to help the cause. A buddy and I were fishing a school of sandies on Hubbard last friday and noticed that they would pop the top a while and then go under, we would keep casting and then get on the motor to try and track down where they went and seconds after we started to troll shad started popping and then right behind them the sandies. I was thinking maybe the TM was scaring the shad causing them to surface and the sight of surfacing shad turned on the predatory response in the sandies and CAUSED them to chase the shad to the surface! Thoughts?

I wouldnt say so. The fish just work togther to run the bait to the top. So some times the loose the school of shad( cant keep them in a ball) or work togther to run them back to the top.
