Me and a buddy are planning to head out to Rollover Pass tonight and use some lights and try to get some reds and specks. We plan on using artificials and i was thinking of catching some finger mullet and wanted to know what the best way to keep them alive while making to trip from Laporte? Or is there a place that anyone knows of to catch finger mullet out there?

Usually a 5 gallon bucket with a portable air pump should do the trick for ya on keeping them minnows kickin. Good luck and keep us posted on your results and the water conditions too.

You may be able to catch some finger mullet on the North side of the road where Rollover Pass opens into the bay like area there. Be really careful walking out into the water there though (stay away from the pass itself it drops off fast)it's easy to end up in the pass getting pulled to the bridge. Strong current sometimes.

A couple of floating minnow buckets will hold some and keep them alive so it depends on how many you are trying to keep alive.

check out the thread i posted. If the FW is out of the bay now youll do better. Try one of the submerged lights, it was drawing the mullet in like crazy for us.

Mullet are in the surf! Dont waist you time at roll over. Its bad! Hard head about the only thing being caught. Surf is bad to unless you have a kyack.
