 Where are yall going for July 2-4th?

Well, it looks like a long three day weekend is just ahead of us. I might work Monday to get some more tackle funds.  I've for my eye on a new spinning reel. I'm thinkin about taking a trip back to LBJ Saturday or Sunday. I figure the lakes will be filled with more people then you can shake a stick at. Maybe the grasslands will be spared from the seams of people. So what's yalls plans?

Not sure if I'm even gonna try this weekend. Throngs of drunk/inexperienced powerboaters and skiers can really cramp my style. I might sneak out and try the Hubbard River.

I'm thinking about hitting lake grapevine this evening. May stay way from the crowds the rest of the weekend. Anyone have suggestions about best spots on grapevine? I'm thinking about murrell park, but will be my first time there.

I'm thinking about murrell park, but will be my first time there. . That's a good start, plus its free. I'm headed to fish PK and try to get on some of my big bass areas

I'll be at Cottonwood about 7 AM on Saturday... LBJ Grasslands... First trip so I will be exploring the water and seeing what it has to offer... Little ones I know for sure.

Just got back from a little 2 hr trip out to Arrowhead, Ill post pics after the Transformerd movie. I was chasing shad all over the lake, saw a bunch being attacked, paddled over there fast, get one cast off, catch a keeper and try to find to next spot. Only had about 30 secs to get there and cast before the bait went away. Got 3 non keeper sandies and 3 13-15 keeper for dinner tonight, also snagged a nice 3# or so LMB and she put up a great fight on my ultra light set up. I love road runner lures so much Ill probably take the wife out with me on Sunday, though doubt Ill catch much due to her not liking to get up before 10  .

Copano Bay.
Everywhere else will be over run with boats n' yaks with anglers gettin' their annual 4th of July fishing fix.
Plenty of reefs in Copano to yak n' wade fish !
