Hey everyone - I'm planning on doing some fishing from the south jetties and i know that there are these 'spurs' spread out on both the channel side and surf side. I've been trying to find pictures on the web that show more or less where these areas are but i'm not having any success.
does anyone have any pics showing where these spots are at? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Thanks for the pick W4F. I've seen this pic before but it isn't what i'm looking for. The picture i'm looking for will show where the spurs are in the South Jetty. From the pic you sent me, you can't see it at all.
There was once a picture i saw of it a long time ago where the spurs were identified by these yellow lines going at an angle with a description of where and where not to fish from.

Thanks for checking W4F. I have looked at google maps and couldn't find the picture i once saw a long time ago. A co-worker of mine did find this geographical map showing the spurs and how far they run down and out on both the channel side and surf side for the north and south jetties.

That map with the spurs shows mustang island jetties. Don't know if they are the same. Love to fish those though, lol. Surf was really high here yesterday.

Just for clarification: The jetties at Mustang Island, St. Joseph Island, Aransas Pass or Port Aransas are all one-in-the-same. Many navigational charts refer to the pass and jetties at Port Aransas as "The Aransas Pass".

There are some old jetties at Mustang Island State Park. There use to be a cut that went through to the bay, but it silted in.
