My dad is taking me to Cooper for the first time this weekend to fish for hybrids. I haven't seen any recent lake Cooper reports. Is the afternoon still the best time to go? I've read humps are good, any other suggestions on places to find hybrids? We are planning on using big spoons and swimbaits - OK???

Let us know how you do, and don't forget GPS Coords!

I was on Cooper Tuesday and it was real slow. Caught 6 dinks and they were all on a different part of the lake. Seemed like I would get one off each hump I tried, but no more.
Birds were not evenig moving, just sitting all day.
Never saw any school of sandies boil up.

Watch out, it will be very hot out there so take plenty of water.

I fished yesterday and ended with 17 hybrids. Fished from 2pm till about 630. caught fishing from 25 FOW to as skinny as 5ft. Caught a few schooling fish, but it was more of just one fish hitting the top rather and schooling.

Just hit a spot and move.

Jeff
