Going to port a south jetty in mid sept. Looking for any tips on bait, rigging, and location to catch the bullreds and maybe some small shark. thanx

There should be mullet schooling in the pass. You can catch them with a cast net. When a school swims by, stand back. The bait schools are usually long. Don't throw until the lead fish passes you by. Then step up and throw your net. They don't spook near as bad that way.

Rig with weight on bottom and bait above. Amount of wt. will depend on current in pass. Be prepared with a variety of wt.

Location can change without notice. Just go out and start fishing. Start talking to people and watch what's going on around you. You can learn alot that way and it's current infomation.

i really dont have that much luck at the south jetties i would advise you to fish the north jettie i always catch fish there
