Well, I came close again. One of these days, I'm gonna get that 3lber. I tried letting this one ride it out in the livewell for about an hour and a half before the 15 minute ride home to the scales. (I know, I know, but the set in the boat had a dead battery.) Don't know if I lost those 3oz doing that, but I think it would have been close. Great afternoon all around. Caught this 2 lb 13oz toad on the same brush pile as 6-7 others in the cooler, including the 2lb 2oz fish I'm holding in the other picture. Too bad I wasn't fishing a CAT tourney, I'm pretty sure I would have pushed 12 pounds with my top 7 fish.  Great quality today. Big, healthy fish. Bite was "very" light. Most were lift bites...been that way for couple of weeks. This fish had an awsome girth. That's where the weight was. I've caught longer fish, but this sucker was deep and wide!
