Bein' as how big it was, it would be snake steak on the grill. They say rattlesnake tastes like chicken, so water snakes must taste like fish (in theory of course).

I remember I was gonna whop a huge one crossing across the waters with a paddle one day just before making the last bend before the bridge coming into Running Branch Marina. Must have been a 6 footer. However, it seemed to know my plans, stopped, stared at me, dared me too, so I decided I would let this one slide by.

I was tube fishing with a buddy once and we used to always get perch bumping our legs and were used to that but one day we saw a snake and he saw us then went under water and the next thing we knew it was trying to go up my buddy's leg and in to his shorts... he was absolutly terrified! I don't care for snakes much after seeing my buddy go into shock.

i really hate snakes. that snake would have made me change pants. i leave them alone, they need to do the same with me. right thing by not killing it though- unless you are in danger, then just let it be.........

We had a few try to get in the boat with us last night. They would've had a very bad day if they were to succeed!

My dad was afraid of snakes too, so much so that when one dropped into his jon-boat while duck hunting he didn't hesitate to dispatch it with his 12 Ga. Yes, through the bottom of the boat. Totally unreasonable fear.

Come on folks... grow up a little. I am a serious arachnophobe (arachnophobia - fear of spiders) but I do not kill every one I see just because I don't like 'em!

its not that i dont like them...its that they dont tend to like me...i dont like wade fishing and then having to haul [censored] back to the bank cause a fish wants to chase my fat backside....while it could be viewed as God telling me i need exercise, i do believe that if they are going to bother me, whether that is eating my bait or stringer to chasing me around my fishing hole or just popping up a few feet from me and scaring the [censored] out of me, well, then i am going to bother them back...i dont always hit what i shoot at....though i usually do...lol
