Kroger's has brisket on sale for $1.49 a pound, limit 2 with a $10.00 additional purchase. Sale starts tomorrow, Wednesday, and goes til next Tuesday. That's as cheap as I've seen them in a while. I think the day of .99 cents a pound is a thing of the past. Tom Thumb has Stubbs Q sauce on sale, buy one and get one free. Haven't seen anything on pork shoulder.

Biden famously said in the New York Observer, โ€œI mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, thatโ€™s a storybook, man.โ€

Target has them on for 1.39 per pound and they're Choice, not the standard Select briskets on sale most places. This is an annual July 4th deal. They are pretty good tasting briskets. No limit on the numbers.

Does everyone remember the days when they basically gave briskets away on holidays? How times have changed - and not for the better.

Target in Allen did not have briskets. Went to Market Street. They were 1.79 a pound for packers.

I used to manage a meat market for winn dixie and then brookshires for ove 20 years. I never remember them for less than .69 cents a lb. I never thought those were the good old days because I was having to sell them for a loss. I always said "it`s not hard to sell dollar bills for 50 cents". I just picked up 3 choice briskets at walmart at 1.47 and they had 50-60 to choose from.

I like Kroger's produce better than the Farmer's Market, road side stands, Mom and Pops or WHATEVER!! They never let me down and if I get so much as one tough piece of okra or an ear of corn with a missing row........KROGER will replace it with no questions asked.

Try that at Mom and Pops or those snaggle-toothed road-side vendors!
