I was contemplating whether or not; I should get the deck of my boat Rhino Lined or any other similar type product. It's a 97 Shoalwater bay boat with the factory finish wearing off, making it look dull. Just looking for any thoughts about spay in bed liners on fiberglass boat decks.

Rhino Lining would be VERY VERY HOT on your feet if you fish barefoot! We usually start out with some kind of shoes or sandals on but by the end of the day, someone will have their shoes off. If you could find it in white, it might not be a bad idea and it would improve traction but the black would be HOT. Then again, if you dont mind a hot deck, why not. It will be BLAZING hot.

I used a paint called durabak I got off ebay, that worked really well on my deck. It comes in several different colors with white being one of them.

Would it effect the weight of my boat, to where it would loose preformance in the shallows?

It shouldnt affect it, Cabela's also has some boat deck paint called Tuff Stuff that comes in different colors. I havent tried that paint but I can vouch for the durabak

I've used it, and seen it used with good results.
Main thing, you'll need to mix it with sand or some other material so you have some traction. Or it'll be slicker than snot.

You could try what the Navy uses. Its called 'non-skid' and it will non skid the skin off your arms if you fall. Its actually a bunch of different types of paints and primers, and on second thought is likely insanely expensive, so nevermind. Still, it would work better than everything else...

Go to www.grizzlygrip.com . They have a bunch of colors, the light colors included, great prices and a very good product. You can get a gallon and three quarts for a little over $100. I rolled it into my boat and it's the greatest thing I could have ever done. Don't spend the big bucks for a name when you can get the same thing if not better for a lot less. They say you can spray it on but I rolled it and it worked great. I highly recommend this stuff!!!!

My '04 XPress duck boat came with something like a spray in liner from the factory. I have had zero complaints with it. It is tougher than paint but it will come off. As for heat goes mine is painted over with the camo pattern. i would assume you could paint it what ever color you wanted. If it's in your budget I would give it a try. I am rough on my gear and this seems to be a pretty good option. My boat gets abused regularly and lives outside year round. Whatever Xpress uses works.

Artifishal do a little research on Safe Floors its the best product i have seen thus fare,it comes in 504 diffreant colors,5 year warrenty, you can pressure wash the surface, IT IS A PROVEN PRODUCT with a lot of custom boat builders on the Gulf Coast, it starts at about $8.50 per foot, does not get hot and if you do slip it is a rubber type material no damage to you like some non-skid type materaial surface treatments, i like it so much and my customers love it, it is affordable that i became a dealer for the product, and it is a upgrade but any new boat that we produce here at Fiber-Works has the choice to up grade from standard floor coating, i link it on my web site www.fiberworksboats check it out.979 323-9087 / Howard
